Footage: Plymouth Barbican, on the Mayflower Steps. Here 16th September 1620 the Mayflower ship set off with the English Puritans and Separatists - The Pilgrims - to America.
The "roots", shot in May 2022: is a footage of the back of a sand sack which has been laying on top of black plastic covering an area of land. This to suppress "weeds" over a period of time. In this period of time "weedseeds" have found a way of germinating and creating root systems on the other side of the sack.
The Sound of this moving image has been generated through the ways of which the footage has been edited, by leaving the sound to be altered organically.
There is sounds of bats incorporated into the moving image, it is from the surrounding environment of the place in which the footage has been taken.
